How To Apply
Photo And Signature Requirements
- Photo, signature, and thumb impression images must follow the AIIMS Upload Image Instructions.
- Images must be clearly visible in the preview while filling the online application.
- Incorrect photo, signature, or thumb impression may lead to rejection of application.
Exam Day Requirements
- Download admit card from aiimsexams.ac.in; AIIMS will not send admit card by post.
- Carry the downloaded admit card to the examination centre and hand it over as required for attendance.
- Exam city/state may be notified before admit card issue; AIIMS can allot any city/state across India.
- Candidates must later produce original documents including application slip, admit card, date of birth proof, category/EWS/PwBD certificate if applicable, NOC if applicable, educational qualification, experience certificate if required, and any other demanded certificate.
Eligibility And Selection
Qualification: Eligibility, qualification, experience, pay level, and age limit are different for each post and participating institute. Candidates must check Annexure-I for the exact post-wise requirements before applying.
- Online application through the AIIMS examination portal.
- Computer Based Test or written test as decided by AIIMS for the relevant post group.
- Skill test where applicable for specific posts/groups; skill test is qualifying in nature for posts that require it.
- Merit list based on CBT performance, with normalization if CBT is held in multiple shifts.
- Qualified candidates will be invited to exercise choices/preferences for participating institutes/posts as per eligibility.
- Seat allocation based on merit, choices, eligibility claimed, and institute-wise vacancies.
- Document verification and final appointment by the respective participating AIIMS/institute/body.
Exam Pattern
- CBT duration: 90 minutes.
- Question paper: 100 MCQs for 400 marks.
- Question mix: 20 MCQs on General Knowledge & Aptitude / Computer Knowledge and 80 MCQs from the domain of the respective group.
- The paper is divided into 5 sections of 18 minutes each, with 20 questions in each section.
- Each question carries 4 marks.
- Negative marking: one-fourth mark for each wrong answer.
- Qualifying marks: UR/EWS 40%, OBC 35%, SC/ST 30%, and PwBD 30% irrespective of category.
- Medium of examination depends on post/group: some 10th/10+2 level groups are bilingual, while technical/bachelor-or-higher qualification groups are English only as per the scheme.
Important Messages For Students
- Apply only through aiimsexams.ac.in and rely only on official AIIMS notices.
- AIIMS says no extension of dates of any kind will be provided.
- Applications are accepted provisionally without eligibility scrutiny at the CBT stage; candidature can be cancelled later if ineligible.
- Different posts within the same group may have different eligibility, relaxation, service conditions, and skill-test requirements.
- Candidates who qualify may need to fill choices/preferences later; failure to submit choices can remove them from allocation.
